Description
The feet of the statue, a little larger than life, are carved from the same piece of stone as the base; the toes and the nails are delicately sculpted. This work probably dates to the second half of the 2nd millennium B.C., though it is difficult, in the absence of other elements, to be more precise. Two elements - the back of the feet, which are not completely disengaged from the base, and the fact that the left foot is level with the right one – might suggest that the figure was seated on a stool or seat.
