Description
This early Roman bronze figure is a representation of a full faced Silenus wearing a heavy hooded coat (paenula), which stretches down below his knees, showing his thin legs, small feet and laced shoes. His face, looking down, carries a grave expression, which is enhanced by his beard and long sinuous moustache.
