Hicham and Ali Aboutaam, co-owners of Phoenix Ancient Art, believe that living with beautiful works of art changes one’s life. At Phoenix, we are convinced that collecting art is a truly enriching experience. Whatever one collects, we think that a collector should have a deep, personal connection to the objects he chooses. We also believe that collecting antiquities has an added advantage over collecting in other areas. In addition to their beauty and rarity, antiquities have a long history. There is a story behind every ancient object. The historical and intellectual dimensions found in antiquities give the collector something extra.
At Phoenix Ancient Art our goal is to develop and nurture relationships between collectors and objects. We will never try to convince a client to acquire something he does not feel strongly about. We are art dealers, but, more than that, we see ourselves as temporary guardians of a small part of the world’s most precious cultural and artistic heritage.
Every piece that Phoenix Ancient Art acquires is personally chosen by Ali and Hicham Aboutaam for its intrinsic beauty and artistic value, as well as its historical importance. The Aboutaams are collectors every time they buy an object.
