Phoenix Ancient Art S.A. would like to announce the opening of its newest
exhibition, "Les Animaux dans L'Antiquite de 3000 av. J.-C. a 1000 ap.
J.-C." From the beginning of time, animals have captured the imagination
of craftsmen, and artisans in the Ancient Mediterranean and the Near East.
This exhibition features some of the finest depictions of animals in
sculpture, on vessels, and in jewelry. Each piece has been chosen with
the greatest care to illustrate the remarkable ingenuity and skill of these
master craftsmen.
"Les Animaux dans l'Antiquite de 3000 av. J-C. a 1000 ap. J.-C." is
opening to the public Thursday, December 11th, 2003 at 47 East 66th Street, NY, NY and will run until February 20th.
The gallery is by appointment.
