"Showing for the first time in October is Phoenix Ancient Art (New York). Standing out from amongst the extraordinary Antiquities on display is the bronze statuette of a Sitting Hermes. It is a Hellenistic Greek copy of an original work from Lysippos, with a Euro 2.3mio price tag. Considered as one of the oldest works at the Fair is a Sumerian alabaster statuette of a standing worshipper in a Kaunakes (festher tunic). This sculptural type is one of the best known form Mesopotamia, and it is to be had for Euro 425 000."

"Im Monat Oktobe steht der New Yorker Kunsthandel Im Zeichen europäischer Mébel und Antiquitäten, und alles dreht sich um dier International Fine Art and Antique Dealers Show in der Seventh Regiment Armory an der Park Avenue. Eine Woche lang bietet sie Gelegenheit, unter angwandter Kunst, Antiken, Asiatika und Ethnographischem zu wählen. (...) Zum ersten Mal tritt auch Phoenix Ancient Art (New York) im Oktober auf. Hingucker unter ihrem aussergewöhnlichen Antiqukenbestand ist die Bronzestatuette des sitzenden Hermes. Sie ist eine hellenistische griechische Kopie nach einem dem Lysipp nahestehenden Wek und mit 2,3 Mill. Euro veranschlagt. Als eines der ältesten Werke auf der Messe qualifiziert sich die sumerische Alabasterstatuette eines stehenden Betenden mit Schafsselltunika. Dieser Skulpturentyp zählt zu den bekannstesten in Mesopotamien und ist für 425 000 Euro zu haben."
